Inkjet printing

We use an inkjet printer as you can print of different types of paper, and you can print colours such as silver and fluorescent yellow, which c-types cannot print. I have used inkjet printing for a lot of my final work, especially glossy. But you can also print on matte paper.





















Preparing to print:

Colour gamets -
Go to edit, colour settings or use the shortcut shift-command-K to get up the colour settings. From go to RGB and make sure it on. Adobe RGB (1998)

Convert the Profile -
To convert the profile on photoshop, go to edit and covert profile near to the bottom. This will alter the colours slightly of the photo, but it will make the colours better once they are printed.


























Image resize -

To resize your image go to image at the top of your screen and to image resize.

For this photo I want it to be 10x8 inches, so thats what I have changed it too, the little link between width and height can be turned off by clicking it, this gives you the freedom to change the sizes, but be careful not to warp your photo. Press ok when done.

You can see from this screenshot to the first one, that photo is smaller in size.
